Privacy
Your creative files stay on your Mac.
versionLoom is designed to keep creative work private and local. The app does not require a versionLoom account and does not upload your projects or version history to versionLoom servers.
Data collection
versionLoom does not collect personal data, analytics, diagnostics, usage history, project names, file names, artwork, document contents, saved versions, previews, notes, or checkpoints.
Files and local storage
You choose which project folders versionLoom can access. Its database, previews, settings, and deduplicated version data are stored locally on your Mac. macOS security-scoped permissions are also stored locally so monitoring can resume after the app restarts.
Removing a project from versionLoom removes its versionLoom-managed history only after the confirmation shown in the app. It does not delete your current working project folder unless the interface explicitly says so.
Purchases
Optional trial and Pro purchases are provided by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple processes these transactions under Apple’s own privacy policy. versionLoom reads the verified purchase entitlement needed to unlock features, but it does not receive or store payment-card information.
Website and downloads
The versionLoom website is delivered using Vercel. Installer downloads use direct GitHub Releases asset links, so visitors do not need to navigate through the project repository. Vercel and GitHub may process limited technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to securely deliver these services under their respective privacy practices. This information is not combined with data from the versionLoom app.
Network access
The core app works offline and does not upload creative files. macOS and the Mac App Store may contact Apple to provide, verify, or restore In-App Purchases.
Changes
If versionLoom later adds optional online services, analytics, or cloud storage, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before those features are released.
